Mark Nunez, DVM, is an LSU graduate, class of 2002.  Prior to veterinary school he spent 6 years in the US Air Force and 3 years in the US Army National Guard. He is originally from South Louisiana and has lived and practiced in New York for the past 20 years.  

Dr. Nunez has co-owned two practices on Long Island, NY — Levittown Animal Hospital and Farmingdale Dog and Cat Clinic. Over the past 20 years he has provided top notch care for his patients in an innovative environment that fostered team collaboration and cutting edge thinking. He is responsible for creating a 4 day work week for all team members since 2012, had the first Low Stress Handling Certified Hospital on Long Island, and has mentored many students, LVT’s, and DVM’s over his 20 year career.  

Dr. Nunez retired from clinical practice in September of 2022. Since 2017 his focus has been on leadership development and mentoring. His top goals are creating an outstanding client experience (assuming we all want top notch medicine), effective team leadership, creating a positive work environment, and conflict resolution.
