Lizette Reed, VMD, is a native of Long Island, New York, and received her B.A. in Biology with a Minor in Education from Boston College in 2006. She then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. After an internship in Massachusetts, she spent time practicing emergency medicine at an emergency speciality center in Columbia, SC. Her husband was in the U.S. Navy, which brought them to Norfolk, Virginia in 2014. Dr. Reed currently works at a small animal hospital in Virginia Beach that offers 24-7 emergency services and a full service general practice. She has largely practiced emergency medicine and urgent care, with a recent side of general practice and dentistry. Dr. Reed’s specific interests include urgent care, emergency medicine, wound care, and soft tissue surgery.

Outside of the clinical setting, she enjoys fishing, metal detecting, outdoor adventures, and traveling. She and her husband, Ryan, have two energetic children, and one special cat named Fozzie, who was a foster fail.
