Keven Gulikers, DVM, MS, DACVIM, is board-certified in Small Animal Internal Medicine, and has been a veterinarian since 1998.  After his residency, he worked in private practice in Phoenix, AZ, for four years before moving to Dallas, eventually building a state-of-the-art, 24/7 Specialty and Emergency Hospital in August 2015. After divesting the business, Dr. Gulikers transitioned from clinical practice to a management position, and he and his family moved to Houston as they like warmer weather and being closer to the beach.

Dr. Gulikers interests include gastroenterology, hepatology, endocrinology (especially thyroid-related diseases) and diagnostic procedures such as abdominal ultrasonography and endoscopy / laparoscopy. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Gulikers enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing soccer, traveling and SCUBA diving.

Dr. Gulikers has one initial question for his clients – “What is your goal?”  This allows him to customize his approach on the spectrum of care and gain the trust of fur-parents to ensure they are part of the care-delivery team.  With a down-to-earth, practical approach, he enjoys teaching and coaching folks to not repeat the blunders he’s learned from in his career!
