Joanne Connolly, DVM - Chirp Veterinary Mentor

Joanne Connolly, DVM, graduated from veterinary school at the University of Montreal in 2001. During her senior year, she completed several externships in highly reputable schools including Cornell University, Tufts, Colorado and Ohio State Universities. She was one of the very few selected for a year-long internship in small animal medicine, surgery and emergency at Michigan Veterinary Specialists, which she proudly completed.

She promotes fair and personalized medicine by treating the patient as a whole to make better medical decisions.

After helping her beloved dog Hayley pass peacefully and with dignity in the comfort of home in 2007, she created Hayley's Angels Veterinary Services and has since helped over ten thousand families say goodbye to their pets at home and find peace and closure.

She published her first book in 2011 titled, "Animal Teachings”, and her second book in 2021 titled, "Animal Teachings 2”, from Hayley's Angels Methods, in which she empowers us in using our brain, heart and intuition to make the right medical decisions for ourselves and our pets, for better living and better dying. She also shares many words of wisdom to prevent accidents and diseases by living a balanced and healthy lifestyle with our pets.

She has extensive experience in the fields of shelter medicine, small animal emergency medicine, surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, end-of-life care, grief counseling, conflict resolution and self help, as well as regional diseases such as snakebite envenomation, valley fever (coccidioidomycosis), ehrlichia and Lyme disease. She also loves helping exotic animals such as ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, chickens and turtles.
